Seattle and Alaska

My blog has been quite quiet as I have been focusing on life and have not post much on social media or blog.  In September Jess and I went on an amazing trip to Seattle and Alaska. We were in Seattle for my Masters in Nursing Informatics graduation. We started our trip off waiting 1hr 15 minutes for lunch at Il Corvo, an italian restaurant which is only opened for lunch and has hand made pasta. The next day we were able to visit the space needle and the Chihuly Garden and glass .

It was fun we were able to go to an alumni event at the Pop Museum. There we were able to learn more about the grudge movement and saw exhibits on Nirvana, Prince and Jimi Hendrix. The WGU graduation has an amazing speaker and was held at Tmobile park where the Seattle Mariners play baseball

The day after the graduation we left for our 7 day Alaskan Cruise.  Our first port Juneau was the conclusion of my goal to visit all 50 states. While in Juneau  we did a whale watching tour and was able to see humpback whales  . I was able to get a photo of one breaching which is incredibly rare in the Alaskan waters. While in Juneau we also saw 3 bald eagles.

During our second port Skagway, we work up early to go on a helicopter ride to the Meade Glacier. On the way to the helicopter terminal we saw a restaurant with these flags in Skagway Alaska:

I took this as a great sign as this was to be a very important day in my life. We boarded the helicopter to the Meade glacier and it was the first time for the both of us. Also a view from the helicopter ride. Once on the glacier had a guided tour around the glacier and was able to have the best tasting water of my life, pure glacier water.

As our tour was ended the perfect area of the glacier was our end point :

She Said YES ! This was only the midway point to our trip however I will end the post here and save the rest for later.
